God placed a burden on my heart for my society, my home and my culture. i know the gospel is yet to reach Hong Kong and China fully, the only way i know how to express that in a way to integrate smoothly into the artworld and eventually into conversations is through painting and creating. through this Chinese New year painting of the horse, i incorporated subtle elements of the shepherd’s staff and the cross. All in hopes that He will use it to spark conversation and bring light to His name. to prove ultimately no matter which “zodiac year” it is.. it is still His creation, His year and His time.
